Biography
Thomas Afilani always enjoyed taking things apart to figure out exactly "how they work." This started when he was just a child and was very curious, as he grew older and wiser this became a hobby. While in 7th grade he created what he called an "airband", the praise he received from his teachers encouraged him to continue to be creative which guided him in the direction to be an inventor.

Later, in the early 1970s Thomas became interested in treasure hunting. Through research, trial and error, and hard work this hobby eventually became a vital stepping stone in his life. Like with everything else, he took apart these traditional metal detectors combining and redesigning different models, ideas, configurations and antenna structures. Several years after these Electroscopes® was founded.

In addition to treasure detectors, Thomas Afilani has since invented other types of detectors and locators, such as water and plastic detectors. He founded the Fantasy Quest Hunting Treasure Preserve a great place to hunt hassle-free and make some memorable recoveries with your treasure hunting equipment.

Aside from Coin and treasure hunting he also invented devices for game hunting; robotic duck decoys , turkey decoys, goose decoys and game locators are just some of his other well known inventions.

Thomas creates electronics right here in the USA that are one of the few USA electronics exported to Japan, Tiwan, and China! Many of his inventions have been used by the military, were presented to the FBI, and have received numerous awards.
